Shouldn't go out tonight You don't have to go out You don't have to get loud I'm still on your side You are bored when you are home Even when you are not alone But nothing is right You shouldn't go out tonight I shouldn't go out tonight We shouldn't go out tonight, alright Why'd you change like that Since we first met There's nothing I would hide I try too much, too hard This way we drift apart I'm too tired to fight If you go I go too And we won't be back soon It's more out of spite We do belong together Do you remember How fast the time went by

Christmas 2010 It was Christmas 2010 and I remember when You open your Christmas gift not finding your wish in it You played with the toy that night but you were rather quiet you ate your turkey dinner as always you were the winner Then you got ready for bed Over the shelf I saw your head Your eyes were red and watery I said, please, buddy talk to me You said, you cried for happiness Smiling like a sad old actress With your left you wiped your tears away Is that really the truth to say? I picked you up and held you tight Is that so or are you just polite? No I really cry for happiness It was just another choked up Christmas I know your present wasn't that toy The dream engine of every six-year-old boy You told me about for seven months My daily have-none sucker punch I said, sorry, maybe next year You were quiet and I full of fear You might remember one year ago And today it's wasn't so With your arms around my neck I hoped mine mean for you just half of it So I laid you down to bed Together our self-made prayer we said And after our routine thumbs-up It hit me like a bullet I almost broke right there that day And I schlepped myself away

Let the Sunlight lick my wounds the moon has caused By sunset I brace myself Remind me what will come Remind me of the morning And the morning sun With a constant shiver Short-breathed I close my eyes Against all ghosts and demons Following me tonight At night I fight the demons Losing who I was By day I go outside Because of what I lost And let the sunlight lick my wounds And let the sunlight lick my wounds The moon has caused I can't see the shadows The shadows lurking there I only feel their eyes The beasts are everywhere It's a cold and foul breath Flowing over my ear I cannot run, I cannot hide In this darkness here Is this a furry claw Closing around my ankle What the hell is calling me With its mighty antlers I let it all happen And walk step by step I know it'd be my end If I'd sit down and rest

Third Place It used to be a park A cafe or a bar A place to walk From your work or home When your home became Like your boss too much You left and rested By yourself A third place Not work or home A third place Not a car or a phone Then came suburbia Unlivable without a car Nowhere to walk to laugh and cry Only good for a quiet sigh The car became the third place Anonymous your face Driving to lunch alone To shop, to gym and then back home Then phones became the unleashed Grew screens and distant dreams Feasting on the user's soul When- and where ever they go The phone became the third place A fractured mirror of a face A window to a hideous world A trough filled with all the fools gold

Could have been the rain I can feel the sun I can dance alone I can taste the peach, the cherry and the wine again Could have been the rain Could have been the rain Could have been the rain that washed away the pain I can travel far I can smell the air I can touch the sand & hear the wind missing your hair Could have been the time That we spent apart Could have been the silence, living with a broken heart
